It's 4:00 am and the car is packed to the gills and the girls are still smiling. We had to get up bright and early to make it all the way to Colorado in one day. That tiny spot between the girls is where I will spend the next 7 days.
You can see why. There is absolutely no room anywhere else in the car. The Gopher's chair is in the front seat, so that is the only available spot for me.
We started at 4 and then didn't stop until after 9 for breakfast. We stopped again around 1 for lunch and then again at 6:30 pm for dinner. We had planned to stop at the
Capulin Volcano in New Mexico, but it was raining and the sight of lightening on the volcano turned us away, much to the Goose's dismay (she was terrified that we were going to throw her in and hot lava would be involved). We stopped in
Raton for dinner and then headed to Trinidad for our first night. See they are still smiling after a whole day in the car. Lets see how they look as the week progresses.
