Day 3, what will we see.

Day 3. We spent the night in Colorado Springs and then after actually eating breakfast we headed over to the Garden of the Gods.

This is from the balcony at the Visitor's Center.

From the Garden of the Gods you can see Pike's Peak.

The Kissing Camels.
Sentinel rock. This is where the two different types of rock can be seen together, conglomerate and sandstone.
After a long morning of walking and hiking at the Garden of the Gods, we headed into Denver to the Apex center for some fun water play. They have a great indoor water center that is perfect for kids. The Goose really liked the whirlpool that took you around a circle. The Bear liked the two tube slides (not pictured), and we liked them too.

They also had a water playground with a zero foot zone that the Gopher really liked. After three hours in the water, we were all exhausted. We checked into our hotel and then drove over to Boulder for dinner. We found that Boulder has a very unique night life. It was quite interesting to watch. We ended up eating at the Cheesecake Factory and had Chocolate Coconut Cheesecake for dessert. It was fantastic. What will the next day bring?

So glad to see you blogging again! Chris says to bottle some of that cool mountain air and bring it back to us! We are off to North Carolina on Sunday - we hope to get a break from the heat here. Blessings,
Michelle
